SIQC Replatformed Accounts: Exception Review and Invoice Approval
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Invoices with exceptions that require an approval decision are listed in the [Your company] Invoices Requiring Action view, the main worklist for payables that still need review. To find the view, select Views in the left-hand panel and look under Payables.
Invoices with open exceptions or placed on hold cannot be approved or paid. Items that need follow-up are carried into the following week's review.
Charges missing a GL code are listed in a separate view. See SIQC Cost Allocation Updates in Loop.
Review the invoice
Open the [Your company] Invoices Requiring Action view and select an invoice.
Select the exception tag and open the Exceptions tab in the side panel.
Review the exception description and any notes, then review the line items, supporting documents, and previous activity.
Exceptions marked with a sparkle icon are generated by a Loop policy and prevent the invoice from being approved automatically.
Determine the appropriate action
Exception | What to review |
|---|---|
Variance over threshold | The expected amount compared with the invoiced amount for each line item |
Unexpected accessorial | The accessorial charge, supporting documentation, and any notes explaining why it was billed |
Other exceptions | The exception description, policy result, and notes |
Based on the review, select one of the following:
Approve when the charge is valid or accepted.
Place on hold when additional information is required.
Reject when the invoice should not be paid.
When the invoice appears to be overbilled, leave the exception open and follow the applicable dispute or adjustment process.
Approve
Select Approve in the top right of the invoice.
Place on hold
Select the three-dot menu next to Approve.
Choose Put invoice on hold.
Add a note describing the information required, and save.
An invoice on hold cannot be approved or paid. Once the required information is received, select the three-dot menu and choose Remove Hold.
Reject
Select the three-dot menu next to Approve.
Choose Reject.
A rejected invoice is removed from all future payment runs.
Reopen an invoice
To review an invoice again, select the three-dot menu and choose Reopen invoice. An approved invoice must be reopened before it can be placed on hold.
